The abundance of travel posts lately may be attributed to one thing: I’m going on my own vacation in about 10 days. I will be out of the office for 8 business days, which is the longest out-of-the-office period of my career. Is that pathetic, or what? And I know that I’m coming back to a nightmare of filing emergencies and client needs, so let’s just hope that the trip is good enough to be worth it.

Ok, with that meandering set up, I would like to introduce you to the It List, Travel and Leisure’s list of the best new hotels. Broken down by category, there’s bound to be something that interests you. From New York City to Pench National Park in India, every conceivable climate, adventure, interest and landscape is covered. Except New Zealand. This list should include someplace in New Zealand. Don’t ask me why, and no, I’m not going to find the One Ring. It’s just that New Zealand is my number one desired travel locale.
