Urban chic defeats urban slick with this weather-proof clothing from Belstaff. The good news? It doesn’t have to look like a poncho to keep you dry. Would you brave the elements in jeans and a button-up shirt, though?
Q3: WHY IS IT UNIQUE?
These threads are made to resist the elements. Belstaff was actually the first company in the world to use fabrics that are waterproof, wind-proof and resistant to heavy friction. Yet, beyond all this functionality, the fabrics are still breathable and really comfortable to wear. So, don’t fret if you have to trudge your way through that rainstorm — you’ll still be looking and feeling great at the end of the day.

Say goodbye to pine tree air fresheners and hello to nano-science technology! HygienIQ is a new system that supposedly cleans the air in your car, and all you have to do is squirt some clear, odorless liquid on your vehicle’s interior every two years. There are technical pictures and graphs, so the science must be sound.
HygienIQ is an advance hospital grade air purification coating based on the latest nano-science technology - photocatalyst. In the presence of light, active oxygen is formed and excited on the HygienIQ treated surfaces to destroy all micro-sized air pollutants that land on it, including petro fumes, smog, diesel smoke, exhaust gases, industrial smoke, chemical off-gassing or VOCs from car fabric, leather and plastic materials, air toxins, cigarette odor, etc.

I’ll admit, when I first heard about the movie United 93, I was a bit skeptical. While I’m still unsure what some of the events in the movie are actually based on, some of my other skepticism may be fading.
I was wrong. Universal Pictures held a preview screening of United 93 last night in Hollywood. I went with a friend, expecting something exploitative, schlocky, and agenda-laden. The film was none of those things. I can’t imagine how this story could be told any better in film. I don’t know how you’d review something like this, other than to ask: Was it respectful? Was it faithful to fact? Was it real? Yes to all three.

New Yorkers might appreciate this one: a website that chronicles, via downloadable video, things to do in and around New York. Click a few clips and see if anything piques your interest.
Vidocity (pronounced like “viscosity”) is a Rocketboomish net video show about New York and environs. Kittenish host Tiffany Simons above and her roster of cuties post 15 segments a week on gossip, nightlife, restaurants, events, shopping, etc. Like most vlogs, it’s moderately useful to see the insides of places you might visit; otherwise, your interest in the videos will be directly proportional to your interest in the persons on the screen.

Smuttynose is a New Hampshire brewery that distribtues a wide range of beers around the New England area. From their “Big Beer Series” comes the S’Muttonator, a very malty (and very alcoholic) brew produced in small batches every couple of years. Sip it and appreciate the complexities, or down it like your morning coffee and end the night early.
This whalloping 9.8% dopplebock pours garnet tinged mohagany with beige foam and rim. Slightly dark chocolatey smokey with cherry juice and some graininess but this is mostly a big mellow malt bomb. A fine tobacco note from the heat and the twiggy hops. Rich and smooth with a drying finish from the tannic of the hops.

Cool new blog by a very cool watch guy in Pittsburgh. I met this guy at the Glashuette watch trip during which time we hoisted quite a few beers. Best of all? He’s go exclusive pics of the new Kobold creation, the SMG-1.

From AudioMonger.com - Those who praise The Books’ studio albums have really only experienced half of what the duo of Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong have to offer. That the band originally had no intentions of touring is the great irony of their live performance; a live perormance which is more engaging and compelling than anything else coming through your town this spring.
The name is a fusion of the Spanish “rifle” and “guitar” and, shockingly, so is the instrument. In an effort to promote Colombian peace, a musician inspired by a local soldier has crafted appropriated rifles into fully functional guitars.
Called the escopetarra - Spanish for “shotgun-guitar” - it’s actually an electrical guitar transformed from a once deadly weapon reclaimed through Colombia’s peace process.
“It’s an eerie feeling when you grip the weapon - there are notches under their barrels to mark how many people the combatant killed,” said Lopez.
