I love these crazy travelling tailors. They travel all around the world, take orders, and are just about the greatest road warriors out there. Except for the measuring the inseam part, I’d suspect this is the best job ever.

Anyway, Tomas Mahon will now be visiting Atlanta regularly for fittings, so if you’re in the city too busy to hate, he’s your man.

I love a good Cuban. I get mine from a good friend in Russia. Little tip: don’t by them on the beach in Mexico. You’re probably getting a stub of charcoal.

This Cohiba Siglo VItola has made the Robusto one of the most demanded Habanos in the market. This is a real gem that must not be confused with a simple thick cigar, one of the problems of defining a Robusto. There are only nine true Robusto and this is the most complete, because of its strength and excellent blend

Ah, the days of Super 8. I think I shot one roll as a kid and then my parents got a VHS camcorder and that was the end of that. However, I still remember a bunch of Super 8 horror movies my dad had and that we watched on a crappy old projector. The thrill of the movie theatre in your own home! Now, however, I have 7.1 surround sound, HD TV, and TiVo. I don’t have time for FILM!

From WristWatchReview.com - Nice fat thread about wearing a “nice” watch - do it or not? I wear my Speedmaster to death. No reason to treat these things with kid gloves.

How does everyone feel about wearing their nice watches to work and around the house? One one hand I feel that I spent alot of money on these watches and I should enjoy wearing them even with the chance that they could get a scratch or mark on them. One the other hand I don’t want to get them scratched or damaged. I’m not talking about a $10, 000 watch. But more like $500 to $2500 watches. I’m leaning toward’s “just wear them and enjoy them.”

Check it out here.

Charming topic.

For everyone who feel they’ve been billed unfairly, gotten a piece of crap car they didn’t ask for (or no car at all) or dealt with desk agents who don’t represent the sunny dispositions of their TV counterparts, this tip is for you.

I was traveling with a group of writers and one of the guys, an older gentleman, had a full shaving kit - straight razor, brush, the whole deal. It was so cool. I’m going to try to figure out what kind of gear he had, but this should tide us over until we get more info.

Seems like a waste of perfectly good plonk to me.

Aimed “people who don’t want to drive immediately after a wine-tasting,” the winery first developed a hotel and restaurant, and apparently spa services were the next logical conclusion. The use of wine in those services, was presumably a natural conclusion.

A 30-minute hydrotherapy session at the spa costs 500 baht (about $12.25). Sounds like a bargain if you ask me. What I wonder about is how long it would take for my skin to stop being purple afterwards….

A buddy of mine turned me on to NorthernBrewer.com, a full homebrew site. I just ordered some tubing from them for a carboy of Cab I’m brewing up and we’ll see how it all looks. For places without a local brew shop, it’s a lifesaver.

Turn your pick-up into a Hummer with an easy-to-use $5000 kit. Why, you ask? Why are you asking!

Got a manky old Chevy pickup? Fancy making like Arnie? Then cough up the $5000 plus, roll up yer sleeves and get cracking. Last one to the gas pump’s a sissy!
